Captain Troy Burrow

Troy, a calm, collected man filled with goodness served as Admin Officer. Trusted completely by all who knew him, he made sure the unit did business in good order. To the right (picture immediately above), he contemplates as Executive Officer Captain Wright (center), Platoon Commander Captain Crump (left front), Platoon Commander Tarpley (far left) and Supply Officer Ball (rear) await a decision that is sure to be a sound one.

WO Dennis Longman (far left-left photo) with the crew of CH-47 038 "Ghostrider." Captain Tom Tarpley (far right-left photo), Aircraft Commander served his first tour with the 173rd Airborne Brigade. He was an infantry platoon commander in the bloody battles near Dak To in November 1967.

Door-gunner PFC Luz (head above Tarpley from inside), and two other crewmembers round out the flight team for an upcoming mission. When Dennis was not flying, which was seldom, he was Public Relations Officer (right photo).

Specialist Four "Mad Dog" Maguadog made himself at home where he went. A maintenance specialist, he is one of our young we sent to stem the tide of communism in Southeast Asia. Thank you from a grateful nation.

Specialist Four Jim Slagger made sure our communications equipment was in top-notch condition. At times, Jim had his mind on the land of the big PX. Judging from his poster, he had quality thoughts.

Captain Larry Ball saw to the unit's supply needs. Keeping the 362nd supplied was no small chore with depot's closing their door's daily. He claimed that he found five, 50-cal. machine guns hidden in the crawl space above his office. A card playing lover, someone reported that he just raised six M-60s and he keeps the deal. To his left is Captain Dranikoski, to his front is CW2 John Parry and CWO Michaelson (?) is to his right.

Specialist Mike Sullivan enjoys some of his promised, exotic vacation to Southeast Asia (left). Mike (right) dressed in his aloha action shirt killing time with another Mike (?) in his 362nd condo at Phu Loi.

Frank Mathews is one of the many fine skytroopers that came to us from the 101st when they left country. Note that Frank knows how to make himself at home on his many missions.

During General Giap's invasion at Loch Ninh, and then An Loc, our Hook crews found little time to relax. When they did have time, they made the best of it. Lai Kai was one of our standby bases and CW2 Sam Barnes took advantage of a short break for some rest.
